Open it in Excel, Google Sheets, QuickBooks or Xero.

Built for the quirks of Wise statements

Wise is not a single account with one ledger — it is a multi-currency account where each currency balance, and each Jar inside it, keeps its own running total. A statement is generated for the currencies and Jars you select over a period of up to 365 days at a time, so selecting several balances at once gives you a zip of separate statements rather than one combined document. The transaction mix is unusual too: alongside ordinary card spending and incoming payments you get currency conversions, which appear as a debit in one balance and a credit in another, plus explicitly itemised Wise fees. That combination is what makes a Wise statement easy to misread and worth verifying rather than trusting.

Questions

My Wise statement covers several currencies. Will that convert cleanly?

Each currency balance on a Wise account has its own running total, so the safest approach is to generate a statement per currency and convert each one separately. A single combined PDF still converts, but the Balance column only reconciles within a currency — merged balances across currencies do not add up to anything meaningful.

Should I just use Wise's own CSV export instead?

Usually, yes. Wise offers PDF, CSV and XLSX from the app, plus MT940, QIF and CAMT.053 on the web, and if you can log in and the period is within 365 days, the native export is the better path. Conversion is for the cases where only a PDF exists: an official statement for a lender or visa file, or a statement someone sent you.

How do I know nothing was dropped from my Wise statement?

Every conversion is reconciled against the statement's own printed figures — the running balance and the opening and closing balances for the period. The result is labelled VERIFIED, DISCREPANCY or FAILED, and a DISCREPANCY points at the row where the numbers stop agreeing so you can check it against the PDF.
